Extra-Curricular Activities

Extra-curricular activities are an important element of the life of the Holy Child Community School and are considered essential to the development of each student’s talents. The Extra-Curricular Activities include:- School Band Charity fundraising activities, Chess Teams / Club, Theatre visits, Scholarships Irish and Foreign languages Choir, Drama, Educational tours in Ireland and abroad, An Gaisce / President’s Award

Music

All students take music in first year, where they learn the tin whistle. Students with musical potential are encouraged to progress to the school’s concert band. Tuition on flute; clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, percussion, guitar and piano is provided for students who are interested. Royal Irish Academy examinations, Junior Certificate Music and Leaving Certificate Music are available in association with the Bray Music Centre.

Sport
	Sporting activities are considered to be a very important part of the life of the Holy Child Community School. All students are encouraged to take part in regular sporting activities. Sporting activities include:- Soccer - girls and boys teams, Snooker, Tennis. Volleyball, Rotary Youth Leadership Award, Golf Teams, Gymnastics Athletics Teams/Club, Badminton Teams Basketball Teams/ Club
